Apex Scotland helps and supports people with experience of the justice system to build new lives. By treating everyone as an individual, they create a feeling of dignity, understanding, mutual respect and, most importantly, hope for the future.
As a forward-thinking charity, Apex Scotland felt that their current branding was letting them down and holding them back from being the organisation that they knew they needed to be. I was delighted to be asked to rebrand the charity.
Apex Scotland's new ‘A’ symbol represents more than just the word Apex. The purple and coral pillars meet together to suggest support. Within the negative space of the 'A' there is a directional arrow that represents the idea that Apex Scotland guides their participants as they progress. The curved line at the bottom represents the bridge between communities and Apex Scotland participants.
Every Apex Scotland participant is on their own personal journey, and no two journeys are the same. This inspired the idea for the supporting brand graphics. Journey's are visually represented by dynamic graphic lines that weave their way through a range of different applications. Combined with new brand fonts, an iconography suite, and a bold, contemporary colour palette, this simple yet flexible branding system will help propel Apex Scotland confidently into the future.
