Alternatives

Alternatives is a community-based drug recovery charity founded in 1995. It provides a West Dunbartonshire-wide service operating from two community bases and also runs a safe house project. Step-by-step, it helps people to find their own recovery pathways back from chaos to wholeness, through normalising a fulfilling lifestyle, with peer support.

I was commissioned by Alternatives to re-brand the charity and subsequently produced a range of promotional and informational material; I also designed and built their new website.

The brief asked that the new brand represented a number of ideas: Geographical Location of Alternatives' offices which are based near the River Clyde and River Leven; People, to represent community, friendship and support; Shelter, to represent their flagship Safe As Houses Project; and the Sun to represent hope, light and positivity.
